Financial controller (hospitality)

Manages accounts, reporting and controls for hospitality businesses. They turn tills, invoices and payroll into a reliable site-level P&L that operators can act on. VAT, tronc administration and cash handling controls are particular hospitality headaches.

A real shift

Month-end closes, accruals and reconciliations take priority each month. The rest of the time goes on budgets, cash flow forecasts and supporting the year-end audit. Controllers also partner with ops on labour costs and gross profit by site.
