Procurement manager

Buys food, drink and supplies for hospitality groups, negotiating contracts and managing suppliers. Procurement protects margins when prices for things like energy, oil, dairy or meat spike. It also covers food safety, traceability and allergen information from suppliers, plus increasingly sustainability.

A real shift

Meeting suppliers, reviewing price increases and running tenders for key categories. Working with chefs on product specifications and with finance on cost tracking. Visiting farms or factories and checking certifications keeps the supply chain honest.
