Host / greeter

The first and last face a guest sees. Hosts run the door, the reservations book and the floor plan, deciding who sits where so no section drowns. A good host quietly sets the pace of the whole night.

A real shift

Arrive before service to check the book, note allergies, birthdays and regulars, and agree sections with the manager. Then hours of greeting, seating, quoting wait times and juggling walk-ins against no-shows, finishing with goodbyes and tomorrow's confirmations.
