Cruise hotel director

Leads all hotel operations on a cruise ship: food, drink, housekeeping, guest services and entertainment for thousands. It is one of the most senior roles on board, working alongside the captain's team. The role demands long experience, often rising through hotel departments at sea.

A real shift

Daily briefings with department heads, reviews of guest feedback and inspections of public areas and galleys. Port days bring their own planning for embarkation and turnaround. Public health inspections and crew welfare are constant priorities.
