Airport lounge host

Welcomes guests in airport lounges, serving food and drink and helping with travel needs. Guests range from frequent business flyers to families on a once-a-year treat, and the host has to read each one quickly. Because the lounge is airside, everyone works under airport security rules, including background checks for an ID pass.

A real shift

Shifts are shaped around flight banks, so very early starts for the first departures or late finishes after the last wave are normal. Peaks are intense, with tables to reset and buffets to replenish, followed by quieter spells for restocking and cleaning. Delays and cancellations bring stressed guests, so calm information-giving is part of the job.
